A Hicksville man is in custody following an assault that occurred Monday afternoon in that village. Hicksville Police were called to a residence in the 500 block of High Street in Hicksville around 2:50pm yesterday.29 year old Cory L. Comer of Hicksville was charged with Felonious Assault, in connection with the strangulation of his live-in girlfriend. The 24 year old female victim was transported to Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville; and was later released. Cory Comer is being held at the northwest Ohio regional jail on the Felonious Assault charge, with a court appearance scheduled for today .Other charges are possible after the case is reviewed by Defiance County Prosecutor Morris Murray.
