Although the total bids for the new swimming pool facility in Napoleon came-in over budget, the project will be moving forward.Napoleon City Council had to reject all the bids during their Monday meeting; but they are keeping the bid for the actual swimming facility itself.That was submitted by Astro Pools at 1.7 million dollars, and was within 10% of the estimated cost.However the bathhouse-golf course clubhouse combo building will have to be re-bid.
Work on the swimming pool portion of the facility should get underway this summer, once Napoleon Council approves the bid with legislation.Napoleon officials are still confident the project will stay on-schedule, and be ready for the first customers around Memorial Day 2021.
