The search for a missing 5 year old boy in Putnam County ended in tragedy Thursday.The Putnam County Sheriff’s office reports at 5:07pm yesterday, a volunteer rescue worker located the body of Isaac Schroeder of Ft. Jennings within a logjam along the Auglaize River bank.The location of the discovery was about three-quarters of a mile downstream from Isaac’s residence along the river, located along Putnam County road S near Ft. Jennings.Isaac Schroeder was pronounced dead at the scene.The Putnam County Sheriff’s office boat was used to transport the little boy’s body from the river to an awaiting EMS unit.The sheriff’s office thanked the many volunteers that assisted in the search, with that number swelling to nearly 900 Thursday afternoon.They also expressed their sympathies to the Schroeder family.
