And the issue of reducing the income tax credit for Napoleon residents that work in other communities is still in the discussion stage.There has been lengthy dialogue on this issue, in trying to find a way to fund the hiring of more staff for safety services in the city.The proposal would reduce the credit for income tax filings from 100 to 50%.Napoleon Council is hoping to host a public forum on this issue, to gather input from residents.
And the Napoleon administration is shuffling some personnel and duties moving forward after the resignation of Mark Spiess as zoning administrator.Spiess has served the city for 24 years, and is moving to a position with the Henry County engineer’s office.
