The GM Powertrain Plant in Defiance will play a key role in Chevrolet’s all-new Tahoe and Suburban.The popular SUV’s have been transformed, and the engine blocks for those vehicles will be produced by the local talent at the General Motors plant in Defiance.The Defiance casting operation has a strong history of producing high-quality engine components, stated GM Powertrain plant manager Jeff Bantam.And the employees in Defiance are proud to contribute to the production of these great SUV’s.
The redesigned Tahoe and Suburban will go on sale in mid 2020, with final manufacturing and assembly at the GM plant in Arlington, Texas.
