A Defiance man was sentenced to prison after his guilty plea to Rape in Defiance County Common Pleas Court.Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray reports 21 year old Marcus Tressler of Defiance will spend 10 to 15 years in prison for the first degree felony offense.The crime occurred August 1st of this year at a residence on Evansport Road in Defiance.The victim was a female juvenile under the age of 13.The court classified Marcus Tressler as a Tier-3 sex offender,which will require his notification of address with local law officers for the rest of his life, after release from prison.
And 35 year old Jeffrey A. Smith was sentenced in a conviction for Receiving Stolen Property, Interference with a Train, Vandalism, and Intimidation.Smith was sentenced to a total of 54 months in prison.
