The Defiance County Grand Jury indicted more than a dozen persons after cases were presented by Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray.Included in the indictments was 32 year old Joshua Meeks of Defiance, who was charged with Attempted Aggravated Murder, Kidnapping, Rape, two counts of Felonious Assault, and Domestic Violence.Authorities allege Meeks attempted to cause the death of another at his residence on Riverside Avenue on August 16th of this year.The charges further allege Meeks caused serious physical harm to a family member with a deadly weapon, and engaged in sexual conduct by force with another person.The suspect has previous convictions for Domestic Violence and Felonious Assault.
