It’s taken about three months, but investigators have identified the body of a man found in the Maumee River near the Defiance-Paulding County line from May 24th.Defiance County Sheriff Doug Engle reports it took DNA testing to identify the victim as 27 year old Jabari Mbwelera of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Mbwelera had been reported missing in Ft. Wayne from his Spy Run Avenue address from back on January 23rd. Law officers thanked the public for their many leads in the case, and now the investigation is turned over to Ft. Wayne Police for follow-up.
