The sales tax revenues for December hit their highest total ever in Henry County, according to auditor Kevin Garringer. Total receipts this month topped $365,500, which is up 1% over last year at this time. The sales tax revenues generally reflect local retail sales from 2 to 3 months before. The year of 2018 wrapped-up with total sales tax receipts in Henry County at 4.3 million dollars. That’s $9,158 behind last year’s total for sales tax revenues in the entire year. But this year’s 12-month receipts for Henry County are the second highest total ever recorded.
