Promotion of staff, bed alottments, and service contracts were all part of the discussion at this week’s meeting of the Corrections Commission of Northwest Ohio. The Director of Security is Craig Eiden, taking over for Dennis Sullivan, who moved up to executive director at the regional jail. And Toby Bostater was promoted to Director of Operations for CCNO.
The bed allocations at the jail will include Defiance at 60 beds, Fulton County-55, Henry County-37, Williams County 58, and Lucas County -222. That’s a decrease for Lucas County of 53 beds.
Bids are being sought for medical service providers, including mental health. Proposals are also being requested for substance abuse treatment programs.
The CCNO board approved a bid of nearly $275,000 to construct a control room for enhanced security. And the latest population at the regional jail hit 647.
