With the state approving some job creation tax credits this (Mon.) morning in Columbus, the final pieces are falling into place for a new auto related industry coming to Napoleon. JAC Products, Inc with headquarters in Pontiac, Michigan will be moving into the new spec building on Independence Drive; with plans to hire hundreds of employees to ramp-up for production, possibly by the end of this year.
A number of local partners were critical in making this project happen, from local tax abatements to city services in Napoleon.
Ohio Means Jobs will be helping in the recruiting and training of hundreds of employees for the new manufacturer. Not only will they take-over the 100,000 square foot spec building; but they plan to double that space for their Napoleon operation. JAC Products, Inc. has manufacturing facilities in Saline, Michigan; the state of Georgia; along with plants in Germany, Japan, and China. They celebrated their 50th year as a company in 2017.
