It’s record-breaking month for sales tax revenues in Henry County. County Auditor Kevin Garringer reports total sales tax receipts this month were just shy of $385,000. That’s an increase of 18% over June 2017 figures, and represents $58,000 more revenue than last year. Sales tax receipts generally reflect local sales from 3 months before. The $385,000 in revenues this month is the highest total ever collected in June for Henry County.
Through the first half of 2018, Henry County sales tax revenues have surpassed 2 million dollars. But receipts at the halfway point are still trailing 2017 figures by about $81,000.
