Police in Defiance are investigating a possible drowning incident reported Thursday evening. Officers responded to 237 Harding Street in Defiance at 6:34pm Thursday, where they found a 2 year old female was unresponsive inside the residence. The child was transported to the Defiance Regional Medical Center by Defiance Rescue; and was pronounced dead by the medical staff at the hospital. No information has been provided as to how the little girl might have drowned, or where it occurred.
