The Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation has distributed over 1.5 million dollars in workplace grants to enhance safety around the state.
In northwest Ohio, the village of Ottawa received about $27,000 for a scissor lift, an electric mast crane, and hydraulic post pounder.
Several grants were awarded in Williams County, including nearly $14,000 for the city of Bryan for a battery-powered aircraft drone with remote control, to evaluate response and rescue scenes.
$24,000 was awarded to Pahl Ready Mix Concrete to purchase five pallets of aluminum chutes.
And Woolace Electric receives $16,400 to purchase a 26-foot scissor lift, along with a 19-foot lift, to aid in wire installation.
