The Henry County Commissioners reviewed some plans from Genacross for a potential expansion at their Maumee Youth Services location on road 1-D in Washington Township. Executive Director of the youth center, Katie Zavisha reports there are currently 27 youth under care. They are exploring the option of using another building for residential youth care, which could add 10 to 20 more beds. These children are mostly in the age group 6 to 18. More information will be provided to township and local officials before any expansion takes place.
And the Henry County Commissioners have approved Rick Fruth and Don L. Parsons to serve on the Revolving Loan Fund Committee for Henry County, for four year terms.
