Napoleon Council has approved a contract with a company to make repairs to the waterline attached to the Maumee River Bridge. They will tackle half the job this year at a cost of about $53,000, and the other half next year.
Contracts were approved with local jurisdictions that utilize rescue and fire service from the city of Napoleon, including Freedom, Napoleon and Harrison Townships. Also part of the agreement is the south joint ambulance district and the village of Florida. The charge will be based on 2017 actual expenses. And the addition of Florida should spread the costs over more residents.
And the Napoleon healthcare cost committee has recommended changes in the employee handbook to include a wellness program. This will decrease costs for employees if they complete the option of a health care check-up.
