Economic growth, and fun for the kids were issues on the docket for Defiance City Council Tuesday night. A second reading was approved for the purchase of about 80-acres of ground for an expanded business park on the northeast corner of the city, near the former Wolohan Lumber property. A third and final reading on the amended ordinance is slated for the next council session in Defiance.
Council approved the purchase of some ground to complete a round-about at Woodhurst and Palmer Drives to aid traffic around the new Defiance school complex. And Defiance Council approved spending nearly $170,000 for equipment and structures to enhance their splash pad project at Bronson Park, on first readings.
