Erotic Novels Aren’t Just For Women Anymore

While erotic novels have always been thought of as reading material for gals, a new report finds that more and more men seem to be taking an interest in such steamy writings.

According to research by Audiobooks, in 2017, 32% of erotic audiobooks were downloaded by men, which is a 2% increase from last year and an 8% increase from 2015. Overall, 13% of Audiobooks users have listened to erotica, and it seems they are doing it while commuting to work, with the most popular times to listen being between 8 am and 10 am, and 4 pm and 6 pm.

So, what erotic novels seem to be the most popular these days? Well, “Fifty Shades of Grey” is still high up there, with 75% of women and 25% of men listening to it. For men, other popular titles include “Backstage Pass” (44%) described as a mix of sex, love and rock 'n' roll, and “Touch Me Gently” (25%), the story of a cowboy romance. Other popular titles for women have such titles as ”Dominated” (93%) and “Bared To You” (91%).
