NAPOLEON COUNCIL RECOMMENDS PAY RAISES

There were more budget requests approved at the special meeting of Napoleon City Council Monday night.  The total will add about $100,000 to the tentative spending plan for 2018, which the mayor will present for approval at the session on December 4th.

A 2% increase in pay was approved for non-bargaining city employees, numbering about two dozen.   And a 4% increase was approved for Napoleon Police luietenants.                 Napoleon Council is planning to add another $5,000 to the set-aside fund for big-ticket equipment for the fire department, taking that yearly total to $95,000.                And another $5,500 was approved for a new entrance to the city sign on Appian Avenue for 2018.
