That baby girl is a tall drink of water. The Toledo Zoo reports a baby Mesai Giraffe was born last week, tipping the scale at 134 pounds, and standing 6 foot 2. The new female named Binti is doing well with mom, but are off exhibit for now. She will grow to a height of up to 18 feet, making it the tallest land mammal in the world. A giraffe birth is a bit traumatic, as they fall about 6 feet to the ground. Binti will join six other giraffe’s at the Toledo Zoo.
