A couple of projects were approved at the Tuesday meeting for Defiance City Council, along with a rehab project for city ball diamonds. Mosser Construction gets the job of making repairs to the water pollution control system, with a cost of $142,000. And the Koester (kester) Corporation was awarded the contract for design and installation of a new automated process for the Defiance water treatment plant, at $160,000.
Defiance Baseball Association Rep Randy Swary outlined plans for improvements to the city baseball fields at Kingsbury, Diehll, and K of C park. The two-year project will be pretty-much split in half with the city and Defiance Baseball group sharing the cost. The city’s share is anticipated at $30,000 over that span.
